hey guys i havent posted here before but i have been a lurker. and maybe soon i will make an account when i can. but i dont really know what kind of place to share this and i thought itd fit here? i know this has come up on some other forums but it never gained much traction, probably because the site went offline not long after it was up for some reason. anyone know of Mystica's Web? mysticaswebworld.com it was a website that was super long and had loads of nonsense text on it. i dont know if anyone ever saved the site itself but, i managed to find the .txt file from one of the many many pages on the site. it is weird dark which feels... off with the normal/cheery looking ascii header. any clues about what was up with this place? the text goes from kinda odd but normal to being more and more strange. were they making up a story or was there some other puzzle going on here? or just writing stuff? i know the site had ciphers or something, maybe some weird riddles but i dont have anything else saved.... would love to know the theories and thoughts. here is the file: mysticas_web_file.txt

Hello lurker! Nice to have you here. I never really look at this kind of stuff, so this is cool to hear about. The fact some random people out there may have stuff from defunct/offline websites its amazing, and to know you were one of them that happened to have enough interest to share as well is great. Always good to keep this stuff safe. Incredibly interesting piece of prose, though. What else was on the website if you recall? If anyone else knows things I would love to hear. Maybe we can find others familiar with the website that can share other files and pages?

This is such an interesting topic! I used to click around on loads of websites when I was younger, just going everywhere I possibly could when I saw a link. (This was not always a good thing) Of course I explored some sites similar for Twisted Roots, stuff about creepy stories and whatnot. I know there was some site dedicated to talking about mysterious, cryptic websites. And I do think I recall Mystica's Web coming up but it didn't seem like the website had much to say about it. Didn't seem like many had their eyes on that one so, it might be hard to stumble across random people with more information, sadly...

This Writing Is... Kind Of Unnerving, Right? This Sounds Like Something Personal, Like the Author Is Telling Some Kind Of Personal Situation. Its Very Much Talking About Abuse And Some Kind Of Toxic Situation, But Very Metaphorical. I Definitely Enjoy Seeing Such Topics Written With Clear Personal Care But... Wow, For A "Creepy Website", Definitely Deeper Than I Would Expect. Feels To Me Like The Site Could Just Be Some Kind Of Experimental Art Project. Doesn't Make It Any Less Interesting, Though.

Hey! I actually have a screenshot of this website. I sent it to my friend some years back, and I always thought it was weird but didn't look much further... Sadly, I don't have anything else.
